How do I find boarding near me?
Use the map on the home page and zoom into your area, or browse By county.
How do I find a boarder for my type of pet?
Use "Show boarders who take" above the map. Pick rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, ferrets, birds, reptiles, tortoises, dogs or cats.
How do I see a boarder's details?
Click their icon on the map, or their name on a county page, to open their listing.
What is on a listing?
Whatever the boarder has added: animals taken, website, booking link, Facebook page, reviews, vaccination rules, opening hours, drop off and collection times, prices, accommodation, photos and contact details.
What does the green dot mean?
The boarder has claimed their listing and manages it themselves.
Why is the exact address not shown?
Many boarders work from home, so pins show the general area. A boarder can choose to show their exact location.
How do I book?
Contact the boarder directly, or use their booking link if they have added one.
Does it cost anything?
No. It is free for owners and boarders.
For boarders
How do I add my business?
Click Add your listing and fill in the form. Only your business name, postcode, town, county, animals, map icon and website are needed. We check it and put you on the map, usually within a day.
My business is already listed. What do I do?
Open your listing and click "Is this your business?"
How do I log in to edit my listing?
Use Owner login at the bottom of any page. Enter your email and we send you a code.
Do I need approval to make changes?
No. Once your listing is yours, change it whenever you like.
What can I add?
Your map icon, logo, a photo, a gallery of up to 6 photos, booking link, Facebook page, up to 5 review links, vaccinations, an introduction, contact details, opening hours, closures, prices, deposits, accommodation, exercise, health and hygiene, insurance and qualifications, directions and extra services.
How do I place my pin?
Enter your postcode or use your current location, then choose general area only, or drag the pin to your exact spot.
What photos should I use?
Your hutches, runs or rooms. No photos of people or the front of your house.
How do I hide my phone, email or address?
Leave the field blank and it will not show.
How do I remove my listing?
Use Remove my listing. Your page comes off the map straight away.
Where did my listing come from?
From details you published yourself, such as your website or public business pages. We never take a home address from public sources.
Is there a group for boarders?
Yes. Join the Pet Boarding Locator Community, our private Facebook group for small animal boarders: updates, help with your listing and tips from other boarders.
Is it free?
Yes, always. The site is paid for by advertising.
