Who we are

Pet Boarding Locator is run by Martin Maran, trading as Redbeck Rabbit Boarding, Bradford, West Yorkshire. We decide how the information on this site is used. Contact us about anything on this page at hello@smallpetbookings.co.uk.

We never sell or share your details with anyone else.

Business listings we create

Each listing shows business facts only: the business name, town and county, the animals boarded, any published vaccination rules, and a link to the business's own website or business page. We take these from information the business publishes itself, such as its own website, its public business pages and its search listings. We never take a home address from public sources and we never publish one ourselves. Map pins show the general area, not the property.

Once a business claims its page, the owner can choose to add more, such as an address, an exact pin, a phone number or an enquiry email. That is the owner's choice, it is shown because they asked for it, and they can remove it at any time.

Many boarders are sole traders, so these business details can be personal data. We publish them because it is in the legitimate interests of pet owners to find boarding, and of boarders to be found. Any business can correct its listing, claim it, or ask for it to be removed at any time, and we will do so promptly.

Contacting listed businesses

We may contact a listed business to tell it about its listing and how to correct, claim or remove it. If you do not want to hear from us, open your listing and press Don't contact me, or email us. We will record your request and not contact you again.

We only send updates and news to people who tick the box asking for them. You can stop them at any time by replying to any email or contacting us.

When you claim, add or edit a listing

We collect your name and email address, and anything you choose to add to your page, such as a logo, photos, opening hours, prices, a phone number, an enquiry email or an address. We use these to run your listing and to let you log in. Anything you add to your page is shown publicly, and you can change or remove it whenever you like.

To log in we email you a 6 digit code. The code works for 15 minutes.

Reports and requests

If you report a problem with a listing, ask for a listing to be removed, or ask us not to contact you, we keep your message and any email address you give so we can act on it and reply.

Security records

When someone claims a listing or asks for a login code, we record the internet (IP) address the request came from. We use this only to stop abuse, such as someone trying to take over a listing that is not theirs.

Cookies

We only use cookies that keep owners and our administrator logged in. These are needed for the site to work, so we do not ask for consent. We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.

Other services the site uses

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which also sends our emails. Cloudflare processes data for us under its data processing terms, and may do so outside the UK under the safeguards in those terms.

When you view the map, your browser loads map pictures from OpenStreetMap and the map software from unpkg, so they receive your internet address. If you search by postcode or town, what you type is sent to postcodes.io to find the place.

How long we keep information

Listings stay while the business is operating, or until it asks us to remove them. Owner accounts and claim records stay while the listing exists, so we can show who manages it. Login codes are deleted once they expire. Requests not to be contacted are kept for good, so we never contact you by mistake.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent to updates. Email hello@smallpetbookings.co.uk and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
